Volunteers are a crucial part of our work growing nourishing food for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. In 2022, volunteers provided over 3,500 hours of time, planting, weeding, and caring for the land. We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers and would love for you to join the team!

2024 Spring volunteer opportunities
Rise Up is powered by a crew of amazing & dedicated volunteers who help us with day to day planting, weeding and harvesting. If you are excited at the thought of building community while learning farming skills, we’d love to connect with you! We currently take volunteers on Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday/Thursday mornings. Please email mariella@
SECOND SATURDAY WORKDAYS
Our Second Saturday Workdays are the best way to plugged into our organization as a new volunteer. Second Saturday Workdays will take place on the second Saturday of each month this spring. We offer a farm tour at 8:30 and work from 9-11:00am. We welcome individuals and small groups of up to 7 people. We ask that you sign up for Second Saturday Workdays ahead of time by clicking here.
HOUse of mercy Food Pantry Distribution
Half of the produce grown onsite at Rise Up Community Farm is donated weekly to our community members at House of Mercy Food Pantry (also onsite at Global River Church). We are looking for two volunteers each Thursday morning to help offer clients their choice of vegetables, herbs and flowers. For more information and to sign up, click riseup.link/foodpantry.
Landscaping Crew
We are looking for a handful of dedicated folks to help us maintain the landscaping around the farm beds this season. The Maintenance Crew will help weed whack and mow to keep the grass down & safe for those working in the fields. We are looking for a few folks to commit to an hour or two regularly (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly). The hours for this volunteer role are flexible! GROUP Volunteer Opportunities
We are so thankful for volunteer groups and the work and time they invest! We schedule volunteer groups based on the seasonal needs of the farm and would love for you to reach out if you’re interested in bringing a group out to volunteer with us. Please feel free to reach out to volunteers@
