2024 Spring volunteer opportunities

Rise Up is powered by dedicated volunteers who help with day to day planting, weeding and harvesting. If you are excited at the thought of building community while learning farming skills, we’d love to connect with you! If it’s your first time volunteering with us, please email mariella@riseupcommunityfarm.org to schedule a time. Our current hours of operation for individual volunteers are:

• Tuesdays 3-5pm

• Wednesdays 8-11am

• Thursdays 7-11:30am

SECOND SATURDAY WORKDAYS

On the Second Saturday of each month, we run a community volunteer day! We welcome individuals and small groups of up to 7 people. Our farm tour starts at 8:30am and we work from 9-11:00am.  We ask that you sign up for Second Saturday Workdays ahead of time by clicking here.

HOUse of mercy Food Pantry Distribution

We partner with House of Mercy Food Pantry to distribute fresh produce to our neighbors experiencing food insecurity! Distribution takes place on Thursday mornings 10am-noon. If you enjoy connecting with community members and sharing recipes, consider lending a hand for distribution! For more information and to sign up, click riseup.link/foodpantry.

Landscaping Crew

We are looking for a handful of dedicated folks to help us maintain the landscaping around the farm beds this season. The Landscaping Crew is responsible for weed whacking and mowing to keep the grounds clear for those working in the fields.  The hours for this volunteer role are flexible! GROUP Volunteer Opportunities

We’d love to have your group join us in the fields! We schedule volunteer groups based on the seasonal needs of the farm and would love to connect with you about scheduling a time for your crew to come! To schedule a group volunteer slot, please email volunteers@riseupcommunityfarm.org.
